Cut the ribbon and pop the confetti canons, it's time to celebrate! Ribbon Cutting ceremonies are an exclusive members-only benefit to commemorate grand openings, new locations, business anniversaries, and location expansion. They serve as a public celebration, photo opportunity, and a way to generate publicity and awareness for your business!

Standard Ribbon Cutting

The standard ribbon cutting package is included in the first tier membership package.

  • Invitations sent to local media, local and state officials, Chamber Ambassadors and the Chamber's Board
  • Ceremonial scissors, ribbon, and confetti cannons (bio-degradable/water-soluble)
  • Social media post made after the event

Enhanced Ribbon Cutting

The Enhanced Ribbon Cutting includes everything the standard ribbon cutting offers PLUS:

  • Social media post made prior to the event
  • Online gallery created for pictures
  • Can take place outside of the regular business hours of Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM

 

Ribbon Cutting Guidelines

Please keep in mind the guidelines and information below as you plan your ribbon cutting:

In order to qualify for a ribbon cutting, a business or organization must be a member of the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce and needs to meet one of the following criteria:

        - A new business that has been open for three months or less

        - Moved to a new location

        - A remodel/expansion at your current location

        - Celebrating a business anniversary

Please schedule ribbon cutting services with the Chamber at least two weeks in advance to prepare for the event. Ribbon cuttings are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. 

Ribbon Cutting Tips

Please keep the following ideas in mind when planning a ribbon cutting:

Promote your ribbon cutting event by making your own social media post before and after the celebration.

Who will be in the pictures? Some businesses take multiple photos with various groups of people before or after cutting the ribbon. Photos can include employees, family, business partners, board members, and ambassadors. 

The Chamber recommends scheduling your ribbon cutting on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for best attendance. 

Your ribbon cutting event is a great opportunity to bring people together and highlight your business! Who do you want to invite to your ribbon cutting? The Chamber will invite local media, state officials, local officials, Chamber ambassadors and the Chamber board. You can invite employees, family, friends, customers, other businesses and more.
