WHO WE ARE

The Huntington Regional Chamber Foundation is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce, which has proudly served the Tri-State business community for more than 135 years as a 501(c)(6) organization.

While the Chamber advocates for business growth and economic development, the Chamber Foundation exists to invest in the people, programs, and places that make long-term prosperity possible—strengthening both our regional economy and our quality of life.

The Chamber Foundation advances this mission by focusing on strategic, community-centered initiatives that prepare our workforce, support entrepreneurs, foster community growth, and elevate the story of our region.

OUR STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

Workforce Development & Talent Pipeline Growth

A strong local workforce is essential for business growth and long-term economic competitiveness. The Chamber Foundation supports initiatives that prepare individuals for meaningful careers while helping employers access the talent they need to succeed.

This work includes:

Supporting or launching training, certification, and internship programs, including the Leadership Huntington program
Partnering with K–12 schools, higher education, and industry leaders on career readiness initiatives
Addressing barriers to employment, including childcare, transportation, and digital skill gaps

Entrepreneurship & Small Business Support

Small businesses are the backbone of West Virginia’s local economy and a critical driver of innovation and job creation. The Chamber Foundation works to expand access to resources and opportunity for businesses at every stage.

This work includes:

Creating a digital incentive program to encourage residents to shop local through the Candy Cane Trail app
Offering mentoring and educational programming to startups and entrepreneurs

Community Investment & Inclusive Growth

A vibrant, inclusive community attracts talent, retains residents, and supports long-term prosperity. The Chamber Foundation invests in projects that strengthen place, expand opportunity, and ensure growth benefits the entire region.

This work includes:

Supporting placemaking initiatives, public art, and downtown revitalization
Funding projects and events that increase access and opportunity
Advancing pro-business and inclusive economic strategies
