Jen Burgess, owner of The Skin Study, said she draws on her 11 years of experience to offer customized, results-driven services to help her clients look and feel their best. 

“I believe skincare should be both corrective and restorative,” she said. “Every facial is customized to the individual, combining targeted treatments with an experience that helps clients relax, recharge and feel cared for. My goal is to improve not only the health of the skin but also how clients feel when they leave.” 

The Skin study offers custom facials, chemical peels and therapeutic massages, addressing client concerns like hyperpigmentation, acne, texture and overall skin health while simultaneously taking the guesswork out of creating a skincare routine. 

“Many clients come to us feeling overwhelmed by skincare products or unsure of what their skin actually needs,” Burgess said. “Through customized treatments and personalized home care recommendations, we help clients create a clear plan to achieve healthier, more confident skin.”

In terms of personalization, Burgess said The Skin Study team begins with getting to know each client’s skin, concerns, goals, lifestyle and current routine. From there, they create specific treatment plans and recommendations based on each client's individual needs. 

“We focus on building realistic, effective routines that clients can maintain consistently, helping them achieve healthier skin and better long-term results,” she said. 

Beyond routine treatments, The Skin Study provides its clients with guidance to care for their skin daily, Burgess added. 

“One of the most important things people can do year-round is wear sunscreen daily, maintain a simple routine they can stick to and seek professional advice rather than following every trend they see online,” she said. “Healthy skin is built through consistency, not perfection.”
