Step Inside Sandy’s Racing & Gaming: Where Everyone’s a Winner

Unmatched entertainment, caring staff and the opportunity to stay out later.
Those are three things Assistant General Manager Sara Ann Marlow said sets Sandy’s Racing and Gaming apart from other entertainment venues in the Tri-State area.
“We have the late-night bar scene, the entertainment scene and we offer live entertainment every weekend if there’s a special holiday that’s going on,” Marlow said. “We are adult-only so you’ve got to be 21 or older, and we give that opportunity to stay out later.”
According to Marlow, Sandy’s regulars cannot get enough of the one-stop-shop experience the venue offers.
“As far as the atmosphere goes, regulars appreciate the cleanliness of the establishment,” Marlow said. “Of course, if you hit a jackpot, you’re going to win some money. It’s a one-stop destination that accommodates all.”
Sandy’s upholds their pledge to accommodate everyone’s favorites–no matter the game, players tend to flock to their beloved machines, she added.
Just like their favorite games, many players have a soft spot for their favorite Sandy’s employees. With 144 team members on staff, there’s plenty of friendly faces to go around.
“Our frontline employees and our management staff are the ones who keep the guests coming back every day,” Marlow said. “We have regulars who come back every single day to see their favorite employees. We’ve just established that relationship with them.”
From thrilling games to late-night fun and friendly faces, Sandy’s also makes sure to give back to the community they love.
“We have a group within our establishment called Sandy’s Cares and that allows us to give back to different charities throughout the Tri-State,” she said. “We also have an employee of the month program and whoever is the chosen employee gets to take $1,500 from Sandy’s and donate to any charity they want.”
Like employees, Sandy’s customers may also join the community give-back train if they so choose, Marlow added.
“If people have leftover vouchers, we have donation boxes at each door and all of the ATMs and for those who drop their vouchers in, those vouchers go to charity,” she said.
Recently celebrating their two-year anniversary in October 2025, Marlow said Sandy’s has spent that time extending their reach in the community through acts of service.
“We do this not only in an effort to make a change, but the effort to help people grow and understand what we’re all about here,” she said.
As for future Sandy’s developments, construction for a horse racing racetrack is currently underway with the hopes of having a live quarter horse meet right in Sandy’s backyard in 2026, Marlow said.
Above all, she said Sandy’s Racing and Gaming remains focused on the daily journey, rather than the ultimate destination.
“You have to learn to grow, you have to learn to change, and I think that’s the best part of Sandy’s Racing and Gaming,” Marlow said. “The sky is the limit for us, and we want to keep going and worry about the journey and how we got there.”
