Tuesday, March 5th the two non-profit organizations will present a training session for persons who have friends or relatives experiencing visual impairment. Topics covered will include the best ways to help a visually impaired person navigate sidewalks, stairs and doorways as well as tips for preventing falls and other household accidents. There will be information available on local and national resources for the blind and visually impaired.
This training is aimed at helping friends, family members, neighbors and even coworkers know how to be helpful in the least intrusive manner.
Training will last from 2 – 4 pm and will take place in the training room at Cabell-Wayne Association of the Blind, 38 Washington Avenue, Huntington. This session is free and open to the public.
