Due to anticipated heavy rain during the event, Huntington’s Christmas Parade of Lights has been rescheduled for Monday, December 10, 2018. The start time will remain 5:30pm.
“Given the amount of time, effort and support that goes into this annual event, we want to make certain that visitors to Huntington’s Downtown area can enjoy themselves and hopefully stay dry,” said Bill Bissett, President & CEO of the Huntington Regional Chamber. “We also want to thank our many volunteers and sponsors, especially Dutch Miller Auto, City of Huntington, Cabell County Commission, The Huntington Herald-Dispatch, I Heart Radio and WOWK-TV 13.”

The Annual Huntington Christmas Parade of Lights is organized by Downtown with support from HD Media, iHeart Communications, and WOWK TV13. “Dutch Miller Auto is pleased to present the Huntington Christmas Parade of Lights again this year,” said Chris Miller, General Manager of Dutch Miller Auto. “This event showcases the best of Huntington as businesses and organizations throughout the region gather together to celebrate the holidays, as well as America’s Best Community.” The parade will begin on Fourth Avenue and 12th Street and end at Third Avenue and 11th Street. Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with refreshments will be hosted at Huntington's Kitchen, 911 Third Ave., immediately following the parade.

The Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce will present its Coffee & Conversation series, sponsored by Community Trust Bank, on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at 8:30 a.m. The featured speaker will be Sheila Redling, author and former morning radio host. She is a graduate of Georgetown University with a degree in English. Redling is the author of more than a half dozen novels, including the best-selling thrillers, “Flowertown” and “The Widow File.” The event will be held at the Cabell Huntington Convention & Visitors Bureau in Heritage Station, 210 Eleventh St. Seating is limited. The Huntington Regional Chamber will present its 14th Annual Volunteer Awards Luncheon on Friday, January 25, 2019, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Guyan Golf & Country Club. “This event provides the opportunity for the Chamber to recognize some of the many individuals and businesses that dedicate their time and resources to helping the Chamber serve the business community and improve the region’s economic climate,” said Chamber President and CEO Bill Bissett. Generation Huntington, the Chamber’s committee for young professionals will also be presenting annual awards of recognition at this event. Cost is $25 per member or $200 for a table of six.
