Tourism and Conventions

Visitors to the Huntington region have a variety of unique attractions nearby to keep them busy throughout the year. From local museums to a day at a turn-of-the-century amusement park, Huntington has something for everyone.

For the last 100 years, Camden Park, West Virginia’s only amusement park, has been entertaining Tri-State residents with 24 rides, including a traditional wooden roller coaster and log flume ride. Games, concessions, full service cafeteria, miniature golf and picnic facilities are just some of the attractions.

At Heritage Farm Museum & Village, visitors can step back in time. The scenic farm in Wayne County preserves our Appalachian heritage and culture by showcasing the progress our hard working ancestors have made over the last century.

The Huntington Museum of Art is a nationally acclaimed museum which features revolving exhibits. The complex includes 10 exhibition galleries, research library, sculpture garden, nature trails and gift shop.

The former B&O Railway Station is now home to Heritage Village, an architectural award winning complex that includes a restaurant, authentic locomotive, a renovated Pullman Car, unique shops and a local bank once robbed by the infamous James-Younger Gang.

The Huntington region offers ideal conference and banquet facilities, including 2,200 rooms for visitors at such quality establishments as the Pullman Plaza Hotel, Comfort Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, Best Western and the Stone Lodge, along with the Marriott Town Center in Charleston.
